techniques for communication

As I am an business analyst i have clearly understood that communication is not only important but it is must to the business analysis activities, Through my experience i had worked with the different teams like business teams, developers, tester and managers etc.. I understood that communicating is the main strategy of the business analyst for the project success i have used some of the effective technique the main one in my perspective is active listening, we will communicate with many stakeholders like clients teams, technical teams and high level managers , when i meet them i would make small conversation and build up good relationship with them and after that we enter into the main topic about the business in that take example as client side i will actively listen what is the problem, what are the requirements, what are their pain points etc.. in this conversation just noting down the points by listening with the smile is what a business analyst should do. After its done from the client side the business analyst should ask the permission to him that can i say something on this and ask the queries what the business analyst has and make the requirements clear and document them with clarity As there are different individual we deal with in different types of project we should show kindness to the every individual to maintain the good relationship so by this we can gather clear requirements without any confusion Another technique is patience as a business analyst i will deal with every stakeholder in very smooth way and handle any situation with patience but not in hurry burry, this shows business analyst is well dignified and has positive personality Another technique is thinking and talking as business analyst deals with many activities in the project when he delivering any words to stakeholder he should think twice and make sure that it is correct and then he should give commitments to the stakeholders The Business analyst should also have the explanation skills as he is the one who will explain the development and technical team about the project so he should know that who will understand better and who cant and he should exactly knew that how to explain each individual in the internal team like communicating in their comfortable language etc.. he should ensure that internal team should clearly understand the requirements and also he should clearly communicate documents, flow charts, wireframes, diagrams etc very clearly it leads to better project delivery. Business analyst needs facilitation skills like daily stand ups , requirements sessions , work shops and he should make sure that everyone should get chance to speak and explore their ideas. As a business analyst i should play an important role in the conflict management we should listen both sides and giving chance to each person to understand their point of view and communicate what is impact is does to project. and never criticize any stake holder Finally the business analyst communication technique is not just about talking confidently it is about being with patience mind , understanding , guiding and maintaining good relationship with every individual who are involved in project
